568 Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Fakaruddin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli joined the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) on 07 September 1998 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 14 April 2000 through the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Commissioning Course (CC992) in the United Kingdom.

Throughout his service, he has held various Command and Staff appointments. Upon returning to Brunei Darussalam, he served as a Platoon Commander at 3rd Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Force for two years before joining the Special Forces (SF) selection in 2002. Upon successful completion of SF selection, he served as a Troop Commander in Diving Troop, Special Combat Squadron. Subsequently, he was appointed Officer Commanding Land Squadron, Special Forces Regiment in 2007, Operations Officer, Special Forces Regiment in 2013, Deputy Commanding Officer, Special Forces Regiment in 2014, Staff Officer Grade 1 Special Operations, Joint Force Headquarters in 2015, Commanding Officer, Special Forces Regiment in 2016, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, Royal Brunei Land Force in 2018 and in 2020, he was deployed for a Peacekeeping Mission and was designated as a Contingent Commander of the 17th International Monitoring Team – Mindanao (IMT-M17), in Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines, where he served for 18 months.

Throughout his career, he had the opportunity to attend various courses and training both locally and internationally, which includes Australia, France, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Norway, Pakistan, Republic of Singapore, South Korea, United States of America and United Kingdom.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Fakaruddin Zuraidie attended the RBAF Command and Staff Course in 2014 and subsequently graduated with Masters in International Security from Massey University, New Zealand in 2015. He also attended the 25th Executive Development Program for Senior Government Officers (EDPSGO) at the University of Brunei Darussalam in 2017.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Fakaruddin Zuraidie is an avid Mountain Biker and has participated in Enduro competitions locally and internationally. He also enjoys Freefall Parachuting and has completed jumps in Australia, Pakistan and Singapore.
