TRAINING INSTITUTE ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES VISITS THE RBAF MUSEUM AND BRUNEI ENERGY HUB DERMAGA DIRAJA, BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Wednesday, 18 December 2024 – In conjunction with the year-end school holidays, a total of 90 members of the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF) and their families made two visits, specifically to the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Museum located at Bolkiah Garison and to the Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja in Bandar Seri Begawan. The visit was led by Lieutenant Ranee Shahirah binti Zulkiflee, the Officer-in-Charge of the visit.

Upon arrival, the visit was welcomed by Staff Sergeant Mohd Mohaimin bin Haji Mohd Said, a personnel in charge at the RBAF Museum. This was followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and the screening of a video explaining the early history of the establishment of the RBAF. The visit continued with a tour of the RBAF historical gallery, which provided an opportunity for the families to learn more and closely observe military transport, past uniforms, and weapons used since the establishment of the RBAF on 31 May 1961 up to the present day. A group photo session was conducted before proceeding to the next visit.

The second and final visit of this activity was to the Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja in Bandar Seri Begawan. This museum functions as a knowledge center for the oil and gas industry and serves as a platform to support the development of Brunei's creative scene. Through this educational visit, participants were able to explore and learn more about the rich history and contributions of the oil and gas industry in Brunei Darussalam. The visit concluded with a group photo session.

Through this visit, it is hoped that participants gained an interesting experience and general knowledge about the history of the RBAF and the history of Brunei Darussalam's oil and gas revenue sources. Additionally, it aims to strengthen family relationships and foster closer.


INSTITUT LATIHAN ANGKATAN BERSENJATA DIRAJA BRUNEI MEMBUAT LAWATAN KE MUZIUM ABDB DAN BRUNEI ENERGY HUB DERMAGA DIRAJA, BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN


 Rabu, 18 Disember 2024 – Bersempena dengan cuti sekolah penggal akhir, seramai 90 anggota dan keluarga Institut Latihan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (IL ABDB) bersama keluarga telah membuat dua tempat lawatan iaitu ke Muzium Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) yang bertempat Bolkiah Garison dan Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja, Bandar Seri Begawan. Lawatan diketuai oleh Leftenan Ranee Shahirah binti Zulkiflee, Pegawai Pengendali bagi lawatan tersebut.

Sejurus ketibaan, rombongan disambut oleh Staf Sarjan Mohd Mohaimin bin Haji Mohd Said, anggota bertugas di Muzium ABDB, diikuti dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan tayangan video yang menerangkan sejarah awal penubuhan ABDB.  Lawatan diteruskan dengan mengunjungi pameran galeri sejarah ABDB yang setentunya memberikan peluang kepada ahli keluarga anggota untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut dan melihat secara dekat pengangkutan tentera, pakaian seragam terdahulu dan senjata yang digunakan sejak tertubuhnya ABDB pada 31 Mei 1961 hingga sekarang. Sesi bergambar ramai dibuat sebelum bergerak membuat lawatan selanjutnya.

Lawatan kedua iaitu tempat lawatan terakhir bagi aktiviti ini di Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja, Bandar Seri Begawan, muzium ini bertujuan untuk berfungsi sebagai pusat pengetahuan untuk industri minyak dan gas dan platform untuk mendukung pengembangan adegan kreatif di Brunei. Dengan lawatan sambil belajar itu dapat lah mengeksplorasi serta mempelajari lebih lanjut tentang sejarah yang kaya dan kontribusi industri minyak dan gas di Brunei Darussalam. Lawatan berakhir dengan sesi gambar ramai.

Melalui lawatan ini, ia dihasratkan mampu memberikan pengalaman menarik dan pengetahuan umum mengenai sejarah ABDB dan sejarah sumber pendapatan Negara Brunei Darussalam minyak dan gas bagi keluarga terlibat, di samping mengukuhkan lagi hubungan kekeluargaan serta mengeratkan silaturahim.
