PENANJONG GARRISON, THURSDAY, 21 NOVEMBER 2024 – The Closing Ceremony and Certificate Presentation for the Advanced Food Handling and Caterer Course, Session 2024, was held at the Logistics Training Wing, School of Military Trade, Training Institute, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF). The ceremony was officiated by the Guest of Honour, Major Amzar Mu'az bin Tamit, President of the Officers' Mess Committee at Second Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Force. Also in attendance were the Acting Head of the Logistics Training Wing, invited officers, special guests, and instructors from the Logistics Training Wing. The course was conducted over a period of four (4) weeks, from 25 October 2024 to 22 November 2024. It was attended by 17 personnel from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, consisting of 10 personnel from the Royal Brunei Army, 2 personnel from the Royal Brunei Air Force, 4 personnel from the ABDB Training Institute, and 1 personnel from the Ministry of Defence.
Through this course, participants learn and understand how to manage organizations or events efficiently and effectively. They are also introduced to the protocols and ethics required for formal events, which helps them grasp the details of planning and executing official functions, as well as build confidence in handling formal events and communicating information to military personnel. This is essential for developing effective and professional communication skills.
Additionally, through this course, participants also learn cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation related to Western cuisine, which can enhance their cooking skills.
In her speech, the Guest of Honour praised all participants for their achievements and highlighted the importance of utilising the knowledge and skills gained throughout the course with professionalism, dedication, and integrity in carrying out their responsibilities. She also urged the participants to continue striving for continuous improvement in their efficiency and competency to meet the challenges of their roles.
MAJLIS PENYAMPAIAN SIJIL DAN PENUTUPAN KURSUS PENGENDALIAN SAJIAN DAN MAKANAN KATERER PERTENGAHAN SESI 2024
PENANJONG GARISON, KHAMIS, 21 NOVEMBER 2024 – Majlis Penyampaian Sijil dan Penutupan Kursus Pengendalian Sajian dan Makanan Katerer Pertengahan Sesi 2024 telah diadakan di Cawangan Latihan Logistik, Sekolah Pertukangan Tentera, Institut Latihan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (IL ABDB). Majlis ini disempurnakan oleh Tetamu Kehormat, Mejar Dk Nurhazrimah binti Pg Haji Hassanan, Yang Di-Pertua Mes Pegawai Penanjong Garison. Turut hadir pada majlis tersebut ialah Ketua Cawangan Latihan Logistik, para pegawai jemputan, tetamu khas, dan jurulatih-jurulatih dari Cawangan Latihan Logistik. Kursus dijalankan sepanjang empat (4) minggu, bermula pada 25 Oktober 2024 hingga 22 November 2024, kursus ini telah dihadiri oleh 17 anggota Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei, iaitu 10 anggota dari Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei, 2 anggota dari Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei, 4 anggota dari Institut Latihan ABDB, serta 1 anggota dari Kementerian Pertahanan.
Melalui kursus ini, para peserta mempelajari dan memahami cara mengurus organisasi atau acara dengan cekap dan berkesan. Peserta juga didedahkan kepada protokol dan etika yang diperlukan dalam majlis formal, yang mana ia membantu mereka memahami perincian perancangan dan pelaksanaan majlis rasmi serta membina keyakinan dalam mengendalikan acara-acara rasmi dan menyampaikan maklumat kepada pelayan-pelayan tentera. Ini penting untuk membina kemahiran komunikasi yang berkesan dan profesional.
Selain itu, melalui kursus ini, para peserta turut mempelajari teknik memasak, penyediaan makanan, dan penyajian yang berkaitan dengan hidangan Western Food, yang dapat meningkatkan kemahiran memasak mereka.
Dalam ucapannya, Yang Mulia Tetamu Kehormat mengucapkan setinggi-tinggi tahniah atas pencapaian semua peserta kursus. Beliau menekankan kepentingan untuk mengaplikasikan ilmu dan kemahiran yang diperoleh dengan penuh profesionalisme, dedikasi, dan amanah dalam melaksanakan tugas. Tetamu Kehormat juga menggalakkan para peserta untuk terus berusaha meningkatkan kecekapan diri demi memenuhi keperluan tugas.
