PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 15 May 2025 - The Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF) welcomed His Excellency Lieutenant General Domingos Raul “Falur Rate Laek", the Chief of Defence Force of Democratic Republic of Timor Leste (FALINTIL-FDTL) on the 15th May 2025. The visit was warmly received by the Commandant and Officers of TI RBAF.
Upon arrival at the Training Institute, His Excellency was warmly received by the Commandant of TI RBAF, accompanied by senior officers and staff of the Institute. The entourage also included His Excellency Abel Guterres, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to Brunei Darussalam.
The visit commenced with welcoming remarks delivered by the Commandant of TI RBAF. This was followed by an briefing presented by the Chief Instructor of TI RBAF, providing a comprehensive overview of the Institute's roles and responsibilities. His Excellency was given an tour of the Fighting in Built-Up Areas (FIBUA) Village and the Training Simulation Centre, Penanjong Garrison.
The visit concluded with a luncheon hosted by the Commandant of TI RBAF at the Officer's Mess. The visit by His Excellency Lieutenant General Domingos Raul “Falur Rate Laek" reflects the enduring friendship and defence cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste. It also highlights the importance of professional military education and mutual exchange in strengthening regional peace and stability.
LAWATAN KUNJUNGAN TUAN YANG TERUTAMA PANGLIMA PASUKAN PERTAHANAN REPUBLIK DEMOKRATIK TIMOR LESTE
PENANJONG GARISON, Khamis, 15 Mei 2025 - Institut Latihan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (IL ABDB) telah menerima lawatan daripada Tuan Yang Terutama Letnan Jenderal Domingos Raul 'Falur Rate Laek', Panglima Pasukan Pertahanan Republik Demokratik Timor Leste, pada 15 Mei 2025. Lawatan tersebut disambut oleh Komandan serta Pegawai-pegawai IL ABDB.
Ketibaan Yang Berhormat Leftenan Jeneral telah disambut mesra oleh Komandan IL ABDB, diiringi oleh pegawai-pegawai kanan dan anggota institut. Turut serta dalam rombongan ialah Tuan Yang Terutama Abel Guterres, Duta Besar Istimewa dan Mutlak Republik Demokratik Timor-Leste ke Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Lawatan dimulakan dengan ucapan alu-aluan oleh Komandan IL ABDB yang menyatakan penghargaan dan rasa hormat Institut dalam menerima kunjungan tetamu kehormat tersebut. Seterusnya, Ketua Jurulatih IL ABDB telah menyampaikan taklimat ringkas mengenai peranan dan tanggungjawab didalam institute ini. Yang Berhormat Leftenan Jeneral telah dibawa melawat ke FIBUA (Fighting in Built-Up Areas) dan Pusat Simulasi Latihan yang terletak di Penanjong Garrison.
Lawatan diakhiri dengan majlis santapan tengah hari yang dihoskan oleh Komandan IL ABDB di Wisma Pegawai, Penanjong Garrison. Kunjungan Yang Berhormat Leftenan Jeneral Domingos Raul “Falur Rate Laek" mencerminkan persahabatan yang berterusan serta kerjasama pertahanan yang utuh antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Demokratik Timor-Leste. Ia turut menekankan kepentingan pendidikan ketenteraan profesional dan pertukaran ilmu dalam usaha memperkukuh keamanan serta kestabilan serantau.
