ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCE
Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud was born on 9 June 1968 and began to serve with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) on 9 December 1985. He was commissioned as Second Lieutenant on 20 December 1987 after completing
Boy's Wing Coy at Training Institute, Penanjong Garrison and later pursued the Officer Cadet Course in the Republic of Singapore.
Throughout his career, Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan has held various appointments as Infantry Platoon Commander, Techinical Instructor at Training Institute, SO2 G1 of Royal Brunei Service Force, SO2 and Military Assistant to Commander of RBAF and Senior Management Officer at the Office of Strategy Management MINDEF. Prior to assuming his current post as Acting Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) on 7 February 2014, Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan was the ADC to His Majesty the Sultan from 2007 until 2009.
Later in 2010 till to date he holds other appointment as the Director at Directorate of Strategic Planning. He took the command as the Commander of RBLF with effect from 1 December 2014. Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan is the 9th Commander of the RBLF.
Throughtout his service, Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan had theopportunity to attend various courses and studies within the country and abroad. Among courses and studies that he attended was the National Diploma Engineering and Foundation Degree of Eng in Mech Eng in 1989 in United Kingdom, Junior Officer Management Course in 1994, Unit Security Officers in 1994 and Combat Intelligence Officer in 1995, all in Republic of Singapore, Bachelor of Engineering in 1997 in United Kingdom, All Arms Tactics in 1999 in Malaysia, Command and Staff Course in 2000 in Republic of Singapore, Royal College of Defence Studies in 2010 in United Kingdom and Leaders in Development in 2012 in United States of America.
Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan was conferred the Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei (DPMB) Yang Amat Mulia Darjah Kedua in 2012.
His Majesty's bestowed The Most Gallant Order of Pahlawan Negara Brunei (Darjah Pahlawan Negara Brunei Yang Amat Perkasa) First Class (PSPNB) with the title 'Dato Seri Pahlawan' to Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander Royal Brunei Land Forces on 15 August 2015.
Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan is married to Datin Hajah Rasidah binti Haji Brahim and is blessed with three daughters.
