07 Julai 2022 – Upacara Menandatangani Risalah Keselamatan BAF 122 bagi bakal-bakal Rekrut Lelaki Pengambilan ke-169 telah berlangsung di Dewan Nikmat, Institut Latihan ABDB dan secara talian di Bilik Auditorium Kompeni Rekrut.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat dan seterusnya merasmikan Latihan Asas Ketenteraan Rekrut Pengambilan ke-169 ialah Yang Mulia Leftenan Kolonel Pengiran Noor Rumaizi bin Pengiran Othman, Komandan Institut Latihan, Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei. Turut hadir di majlis tersebut ialah Ketua Jurulatih IL ABDB, Ketua Sel Inspektorat IL ABDB dan Sarjan Mejar Rejimen IL ABDB.
Upacara tersebut turut dihadiri dan disaksikan oleh para ibu-bapa dan penjaga bakal-bakal rekrut. Manakala seramai sepuluh bakal rekrut yang disahkan positif COVID-19 telah menghadiri acara tersebut secara dalam talian. Sebelum upacara menandatangani dijalankan, ucapan alu-aluan telah disampaikan oleh Yang Mulia Tetamu Kehormat, diikuti dengan bacaan ikrar oleh bakal-bakal rekrut dan menandatangani Risalah Keselamatan BAF 122 bagi Rekrut Lelaki Pengambilan ke-169 dan diakhiri dengan bacaan doa.
Rekrut Lelaki Pengambilan ke-169 adalah seramai 300 anggota yang terdiri daripada 190 rekrut TDDB, 60 rekrut TLDB dan 50 rekrut TUDB yang akan menjalani Latihan Asas Ketenteraan. Latihan ini akan dijangka berakhir pada sekitar pertengahan bulan Disember 2022.

Thursday, 07 July 2022 – The BAF 122 Signing Ceremony for the 169th Male Recruits was held at Dewan Nikmat, Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF) and concurrently via video teleconference at the Recruit Company Auditorium.
Present as the Guest of Honor and subsequently officiating the 169th Basic Military Training was Yang Mulia Lieutenant Colonel Pengiran Noor Rumaizi bin Pengiran Othman, Commandant of the TI RBAF. Also in attendance at the ceremony were the Senior Officers and Regiment Sergeant Major of TI RBAF
The ceremony was also attended and witnessed by the parents and guardians of the prospective recruits. Meanwhile, a total of ten recruits who were tested positive for COVID attended the event online. Prior to the signing ceremony, a welcome speech was delivered by the Guest of Honor, followed by the reading of the pledge by the prospective recruits and the signing of the BAF 122 for the 169th Male Recruit and finally concluded with recitation of prayer.
Joining the 169th Recruitment male recruits consisting of 190 Royal Brunei Land Force recruits, 60 Royal Brunei Navy recruits and 50 Royal Brunei Air Force recruits who will be undergoing Basic Military Training until mid of December 2022.
