LESSONS AND CASE STUDIES FOR THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY SUPERVISORS COURSE SERIES 4/2024
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday 26 September 2024 – The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Supervisors Course Series 4/2024 started with theory lessons covering topics such as Introduction to OHS, OHS Management System, Tool Box Talks, Workplace Safety, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment. Course participants had the opportunity to do OHS Inspections first-hand as a group, which is part of their case study to boost their confidence in conducting such inspections back at their units. One of the ways of effective communication in terms of OHS is by giving briefs. Aiming to sharpen their skills and competency, they were exposed to conducting safety briefs, inspection findings, and risk assessment content on given activities. During the second week, they had the opportunity to be involved in the Command Post Exercise (CPX) conducted by the Military of Trade School from 23 to 27 September 2024. From this CPX, course participants were able to have an overview of roles and responsibilities of a Safety Officer during operations and through this CPX they were able to further increase their understanding and knowledge in OHS.
THE CLOSING CEREMONY AND CERTIFICATE PRESENTATION FOR THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY SUPERVISORS COURSE SERIES 4/2024
PENANJONG GARRISON, TUESDAY 08 OCTOBER 2024 – The Occupational Health and Safety Training Wing, School of Military Trade, Training Institute, Royal Brunei Armed Forces, held the Closing Ceremony and certificate presentation for 18 Military Personnel who completed the Occupational Health and Safety Supervisors (OHS) Course Series 4/2024. Aimed to produce skilled, competent and knowledgeable RBAF personnel, the course participants were given a foundation specifically on OHS that provides fundamentals of the importance of Health and Safety Management, and acknowledging workplace hazards and risks. These fundamentals, in return, will help to prepare them for their future appointments as OHS Supervisors or Safety Officers to improve RBAF’s health and safety performance.
THE CLOSING CEREMONY AND CERTIFICATE PRESENTATION FOR THE INTERMEDIATE FOOD HANDLING AND CATERER COURSE SESSION 2024
PENANJONG GARRISON, THURSDAY, 10 OCTOBER 2024 – The Closing Ceremony and Certificate Presentation for the Intermediate Food Handling and Caterer Course, Session 2024, was held at the Logistics Training Wing, School of Military Trade, Training Institute, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF). The ceremony was officiated by the Guest of Honour, Major Dk Nurhazrimah binti Pg Haji Hassanan, President of the Officers’ Mess Committee at Penanjong Garrison. Also in attendance were the Head of the Logistics Training Wing, invited officers, special guests, and instructors from the Logistics Training Wing.
A STUDY VISIT TO THE ANTI-CORRUPTION BUREAU FOR THE FINANCE OFFICERS COURSE AND THE PAY SECTION LEADER COURSE SESSION 2024
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Monday, 30 September 2024 - Participants of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Finance Officers Course and the Pay Section Leader course session 2024 conducted a study visit to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) led by Kapten Shazwani Binti Ali, the Acting Head of the Finance Training Wing, Military Trade School, Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Force (TI RBAF). Present during the visit were seven RBAF officers, 13 junior NCOs, and four instructors from the Military Training School, TI RBAF.
