PENANJONG GARISON, Khamis 03 Disember 2020 – Majlis Penutup Kursus bagi Kursus Tempur Ketua Platun dan Kursus Tempur Platun Sarjan Sesi 2020 telah berlangsung pada petang Hari Khamis di Sekolah Infantri, Institut Latihan, Penanjong Garison. Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat bagi acara tersebut ialah Yang Mulia Kolonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Komandan IL ABDB.
Pada pagi hari tersebut, para anggota kursus telah menyertai Commandant’s Challenge yang mana mereka telah merempuhi 9 halangan dan cabaran tersebut adalah sejarak 15km. Perlawanan ini adalah diantara 6 sindiket gabungan diantara anggota Kursus Tempur Ketua Platun dan Kursus Tempur Platun Sarjan. Ianya bermula daripada perkhemahan Tutong dan penamatnya di Sekolah Infantri IL ABDB. Johan bagi perlawanan Commandant’s Challenge tersebut adalah dari Sindiket Umar Al-Khatab manakala naib johan adalah dari Sindiket Abu As-Siddiq dan tempat ketiga disandang oleh Sindiket Sollahuddin.
Acara kemudian diteruskan dengan upacara penyampaian sijil kepada 58 anggota peserta kursus disebelah petang dan sekaligus ditutup rasmi oleh Tetamu Kehormat Majlis. Bagi Kursus Tempur Ketua Platun Sesi 2020, penuntut terbaik bahagian latihan jasmani dan terbaik bahagian amali ialah 1255 Lt Muhammad Hidayatul Sunazul Fikar daripada Batalion Kedua Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei. Bagi terbaik keseluruhan dan bahagian teori ialah 1256 Lt Zulhamizan bin Awg Jamil daripada Batalion Ketiga Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei.
Manakala, bagi Kursus Platun Sarjan Sesi 2020, penuntut terbaik latihan jasmani ialah 17992 Kpl Syarif Hanif bin Abas dari Institut Latihan ABDB, penuntut terbaik bahagian teori ialah 18453 Sjn Mohammad Asrol Bin Adenin dari Batalion Ketiga Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei. Penuntut terbaik bahagian amali dan keseluruhan ialah 19675 Kpl Mohammad Rafiuddin bin Haji Awang dari Batalion Ketiga Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei.
Kursus ini bertujuan untuk melahirkan pagawai dan anggota yang kompeten dan berkeyakinan tinggi dalam membuat keputusan yang tegas. Selain itu, ianya juga dapat mempraktikan kawalan dan perintah dengan yakin dalam perlaksanaan misi dalam semua spektrum operasi. Majilis penutup tersebut telah disudahi dengan kata-kata ucapan penutupan rasmi daripada Yang Mulia Kolonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Komandan IL ABDB dan menikmati jamuan serta sesi bergambar ramai.
PLATOON COMMANDER COURSE AND COMBAT PLATOON SERGEANT COURSE CLOSING CEREMONY 2020
PENANJONG GARRISON, THURSDAY 03 DECEMBER 2020 - The closing ceremony for the Platoon Commander Course and Combat Platoon Sergeant Course 2020 session took place on Thursday afternoon at the School of Infantry, Training Institute, Penanjong Garrison. Attending as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Colonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Commandant Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
Prior to the closing ceremony, course participants of Platoon Commander Course and Combat Platoon Sergeant Course 2020 participated in the Commandant’s Challenge which consists of 9 obstacles within a distance of 15km. This challenge was between 6 syndicate, a collaboration of Combat Platoon Commander Course and Combat Platoon Sergeant Course. The event started from Tutong Camp and finished at the School of Infantry Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces. Winner for the Commandant Challenge is Syndicate Umar Al-Khattab, whereas Syndicate Abu As-Siddiq grabbed the second place and Syndicate Sollahuddin managed to get the third place.
In the afternoon, the event continued with presentation of certificates to 58 personnel who participated the course by the Guest of Honour. The awards for Best Physical Fitness and Best student in practical were conferred to 1255 Lt Muhammad Hidayatul Sunazul Fikar from Second Battalion of Royal Brunei Land Forces. The overall Best student of Platoon Commander Course 2020 and Best Student in Theory was awarded to 1256 Lt Zulhamizan bin Awg Jamil from Third Battalion of Royal Brunei Land Forces.
The best student in physical for the Combat Platoon Sergeant Course 2020 session was awarded to 17992 Cpl Syarif Hanif bin Abas from Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces, best student in theory was awarded to 18453 Sgt Mohammad Asrol Bin Adenin from Third Battalion of Royal Brunei Land Forces whereas the overall best student and in practical was awarded to 19675 Cpl Mohammad Rafiuddin bin Haji Awang from Third Battalion of Royal Brunei Land Forces.
The objective of this course is to inspire officers and competent personnel with high confidence to make firm decision-makings. Moreover, the course gives a good practical command and control to boost confidence in executing missions for all spectrums of operations. The ceremony was ended with official closing remarks from Yang Mulia Colonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Commandant of Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces, followed by refreshments and commemorative group photo session.
