EVOLUTION CENTRE TRAINING INSTITUTE RBAF, PENANJONG GARISSON 08th OCTOBER 2018- The Commanding Officer of the School of Infantry, Major Hj Mohd Airul Wizam bin Hj Ahmad, concluded the Intermediate English Language Course Serial 2/2018 which commenced on August 27th until October 08th 2018 at the Evolution Centre, Training Institute RBAF.
EVOLUTION CENTRE TRAINING INSTITUTE RBAF, PENANJONG GARISSON 08th OCTOBER 2018- The Commanding Officer of the School of Infantry, Major Hj Mohd Airul Wizam bin Hj Ahmad, concluded the Intermediate English Language Course Serial 2/2018 which commenced on August 27th until October 08th 2018 at the Evolution Centre, Training Institute RBAF.
The course which serves as an extension of the previous Elementary Course, focused on providing the course participants with the intermediate knowledge in the four language skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing. Apart from improving the language skills of the course participants, this course also serves as a mandatory course for all RBAF clerks. The six-week long course was participated by a total of 30 participants from various units of the RBAF ranging from the Royal Brunei Land Force, Royal Brunei Air Force, Defence Academy RBAF, Training Institute RBAF, Special Force Regiment RBAF and Ministry of Defence.
In addition to the language activities, the students also had the opportunity to both hold and participate in some sports activities at the Evolution Centre’s. Present during the sports activity was the Head of Department for the Language Wing of the Evolution Centre, Muhammad Azmi bin Haji Zaini. The activity ended with the presentation of prizes to the participating groups.
The closing ceremony was held at the Evolution Centre. The certificates of completion were handed out by the Guest of Honour, Major Hj Mohd Airul Wizam bin Hj Ahmad to a total of 30 course participants. 17505 Cpl (U) Mohammed Kesumaja Shah bin Hj Mohd Ali from the Royal Brunei Air Force was selected as the recipient of the Best Student Award and the Best Oral Presenter Award was awarded to 50204 LCpl (U) Muhammad Hilmi bin Abdul Wahab. The ceremony was concluded with a speech from the guest of honour which highlighted the importance of the English Language in RBAF and the vital roles that the participants can play in successfully nurturing the bilingual culture within the RBAF.
