Evolution Centre, Training Institute RBAF, Penanjong Garrison, 12th February 2019 - The English Language Course for Foreign Armed Forces Session 2019 was officiated by Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Shafiee bin Haji Duraman, Commandant of Training Institute RBAF. The course started from the 11th of February 2019 until the 15th of March 2019 at the Evolution Centre, Training Institute RBAF.
Among the guests at the opening ceremony were Defence Attaches from Republic of Indonesian National Armed Forces and The Royal Thai Armed Forces, representatives from the Embassy of the Republic of Union of Myanmar and Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, senior officers and officers of TI RBAF.
A total of 24 Officers and Non-Commission Officers participate in this five week long course which consists of 6 neighbouring countries – Kingdom of Cambodia, Republic of Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Republic of Union of Myanmar, Kingdom of Thailand and Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The primary objective of this course is to provide the participants to learn and practice the core English skills which centres on engaging in active conversation, extraction and proper relay of information and day to day conversation in the English Language and also to solidify our existing relationships with our allies as to provide a strong foundation of the English Language to our allies. In addition, the course participants will be given the opportunity to explore Brunei with scheduled visits to historical landmarks and attending some major events happening in Brunei during their stay here.
