BRUNEI MUARA, Wednesday, 07 July 2021 – Eleven personnel from the RBAF will commence their training delivered by the IBTE Training Academy on the Level 3 Certificate in Technical Education and in turn the Level 4 Diploma Technical Education course.

This course, delivered by the IBTE Training Academy and based on an ASEAN competency framework, is one of three new courses focusing on instructor development. The Foundation course is the pre-requisite for the Level 3 Certificate in Technical Education (CTE) and in turn the Level 4 Diploma in Technical Education (DTE). These three courses now form the tent poles of an instructor development pathway in the RBAF.
The RBAF personnel have been through the pre-requisite foundation course which equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to get through the CTE and DTE course. Once they have successfully completed the course, they will be able to provide the highest quality instructing to soldiers across the RBAF along with training the new instructors.
The course is an excellent opportunity to develop and professionalize the instructor cadre across the RBAF. It aims to incentivize and reward those who are capable of becoming effective instructors and to facilitate an organizational learning culture that promotes continuous improvement. All of the candidates have been funded through the Ministry of Defence, demonstrating another example of investing in the personal and professional development of their personnel.
