JUNIOR STAFF COURSE OF LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT CENTRE

INTERMEDIATE STAFF COURSE

The ISC (formerly Junior Staff Course – JSC) was conducted for the first time in 2005 and is now a firmly established key career progressor course for RBAF officers. ISC is a pre-requisite for Captain/Lieutenant (Navy) promotion to Major/Lieutenant Commander in the RBAF, and there will be several formally assessed assignments. Individual course reports will reflect students’ performance and potential. The ISC is a ‘pass or fail’ course for all course participants and each student will be graded according to their performance. The 14-week course enables students to spend sufficient time on Service Correspondence, research for their essays on leadership, National Security and execute Joint operations planning. The ISC is a 14-week course which aims to prepare officers at intermediate to middle management level to become competent Staff Officers in single service and joint environment. Students will be given the opportunity to develop their professional knowledge and communication skills.

KURSUS STAF PERTENGAHAN

Kursus Staf Pertengahan (ISC) telah dijalankan buat pertama kalinya pada tahun 2005 dan kini merupakan kursus kemajuan kerjaya utama bagi pegawai-pegawai ABDB. ISC ialah pra-syarat untuk kenaikan pangkat Kapten/Leftenan (TLDB) ke Mejar/Leftenan Komander dalam ABDB, dan akan terdapat beberapa penugasan yang dinilai secara rasmi. Laporan kursus individu mencerminkan prestasi dan potensi peserta-peserta krusus. ISC adalah kursus ‘lulus atau gagal’ dan setiap peserta akan dinilai mengikut prestasi mereka. Kursus 14 minggu ini membolehkan peserta kursus meluangkan masa yang mencukupi bagi modul Service Correspondence, penyelidikan esei berkaitan dengan kepimpinan, Keselamatan Negara dan melaksanakan perancangan operasi Bersama (Joint Operations). ISC ialah kursus selama 14 minggu yang bertujuan untuk menyediakan pegawai di peringkat pengurusan pertengahan agar menjadi Pegawai Staf yang cekap dalam single service dan joint environment. Peserta kursus akan diberikan peluang untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan profesional dan kemahiran komunikasi mereka.
