PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday 26 September 2024 – The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Supervisors Course Series 4/2024 started with theory lessons covering topics such as Introduction to OHS, OHS Management System, Tool Box Talks, Workplace Safety, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment. Course participants had the opportunity to do OHS Inspections first-hand as a group, which is part of their case study to boost their confidence in conducting such inspections back at their units. One of the ways of effective communication in terms of OHS is by giving briefs. Aiming to sharpen their skills and competency, they were exposed to conducting safety briefs, inspection findings, and risk assessment content on given activities. During the second week, they had the opportunity to be involved in the Command Post Exercise (CPX) conducted by the Military of Trade School from 23 to 27 September 2024. From this CPX, course participants were able to have an overview of roles and responsibilities of a Safety Officer during operations and through this CPX they were able to further increase their understanding and knowledge in OHS.
PELAJARAN TEORI DAN SUBJEK BAGI KURSUS PENYELIA KESIHATAN DAN KESELAMATAN KERJA SIRI 4/2024
PENANJONG GARISON, Khamis 26 September 2024 – Kursus Penyelia KKK Siri 1/2024 bermula dengan pelajaran teori dan subjek mengenai pengenalan KKK, sistem pengurusan KKK, Tool Box Talk, keselamatan di tempat kerja, mengenal bahaya dan menilai risiko. Peserta kursus juga telah berpeluang untuk mengendalikan pemeriksaan KKK secara berkumpulan bagi meningkatkan keyakinan mereka untuk membuat pemeriksaan yang sama kelak di unit masing-masing. Salah satu cara yang berkesan dalam penyampaian KKK ialah penyampaian taklimat. Bagi meningkatkan kemahiran dan kompetensi, peserta kursus didedahkan dengan aktiviti-aktiviti seperti tatacara penyampaian taklimat keselamatan, menjalankan pemeriksaan dan penilaian risiko. Pada minggu ke dua, peserta kursus telah mengikuti Eksesais Command Post yang dikendalikan oleh Sekolah Pertukangan Tentera dari 23 hingga 27 September. Dari eksesais ini, peserta kursus telah diberi gambaran mengenai tugas dan tanggungjawab sebagai seorang Pegawai KKK semasa operasi dan melalui eksesais ini dapat meningkatkan lagi kefahaman dan pengetahuan dalam pelajaran KKK.
